True retrospective of over twenty years of work, the exhibition brought together more than 108 works from around thirty private and public collections.
At the net time and the highlight of a network that can connect globally all the knowledge of the most trivial to the most serious, Patrick Van Caeckenbergh, Flemish artist born in 1960, is an encyclopedic inhabited a network highly personal and sophisticated. Everything comes store to, classification of animal anatomy, or the cosmos, but reverted to the artist that collects, class meets. Its preferred modes of intervention are assembling, gluing, bricolage. Most of them are inspired by the text dialogue and the image of the popular and scientific literature of the nineteenth century.
