The library of Carré d’Art–Musée d’art contemporain offers over 29,000 documents dealing with 20th and 21st century art, and more specifically the period from 1960 to the present day, including artists’ monographs, exhibition catalogues, essays, artists’ books, audiovisual material, periodicals and information leaflets about what’s on in the arts.

This library of documents covers a range of subjects: architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, graphic arts, video art, digital art, fashion, dancing, design, cultural policies and museology.

The entire library is available for consultation in open stacks, but there is no lending service.
